A sizzling Blackstone hibachi-style steak and shrimp recipe packed with savory flavors, tender meat, and perfectly seared vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seed oil
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter or avocado, peanut, or canola oil (for cooking)
  • Sesame seeds and green onion for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat

2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame seed oil, olive oil, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt to make the hibachi sauce

3. Season steak pieces with salt and black pepper

4. Add oil to the griddle and cook steak for 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached

5. Add butter to another section of the griddle and let it melt

6. Cook mushrooms with onions and bell peppers, seasoning with salt and pepper, until tender and slightly charred

7. Add shrimp to the melted butter, season, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque

8. Drizzle soy sauce over steak, shrimp, and vegetables and cook for one additional minute

9. Pour hibachi sauce over everything and toss to coat evenly

10. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions and serve over rice or noodles

Notes

Cook on high heat to achieve the signature hibachi sear and flavor

Do not overcook shrimp as they can become rubbery quickly

You can substitute chicken or tofu for a different variation
